How to obtain data

There are basically two ways of obtaining data: Experiments and Surveys

Primary statistical survey	Secondary statistical survey	Tertiary statistical survey
Collection of data specifically for current issues	Use of existing original data for new questions	Use of already existing, compressed data for new questions
E.g. Conducting a survey	E.g. Compilation of original data form stat. yearbooks or websites	E.g. Compilation of mean values form stat. yearbooks or from websites
